Large Vintage Wedding Chair Or Throne

This is one of the few items we sell that we honestly don't know a whole lot about its history. But WOW what a chair. We know it was brought to the United States from overseas at least 30 years ago. Beautiful carving is highlighted by full bodied lions on the arms. There seems to be several influences at work here. The barley twist along the sides suggests some English influence but the carving along the back side looks Indonesian. But whatever the influences, this chair is huge and in great condition.

It is 53.5" tall up the back, 34' wide and 29" from back to front. A true statement piece. Put on a crown and be the king or queen of your house.
