Antique French Cast Iron Coal Hod

This is a fantastic vintage and heavy cast iron coal hod was imported from France. The top lifts up and to give you an easy was to place and remove your ashes from inside. The scuttle has some chipping which gives it a great patina. There is some rusting inside the ash area but the rusting is not deep. Please see all the photos for details. It at one time has a shovel but it is no longer available. This fireplace accessory is very stable and would look great on your hearth. It is approximately 20" x 16" and stands about 13" tall.
