This is a fantastic vintage and heavy cast iron and enamel coal hod. The top lifts up and an included shovel is used to scoop your ashes and place the inside. The top is enameled cast iron. It has some chipping which gives this scuttle a great patina. Please see all the photos for details. This fireplace accessory is very stable and would look great on your hearth. It is approximately 23" x 14" and stands about 14" tall.
