This is a wonderful Hoosier cupboard made by company that practically invented the piece, Hoosier Manufacturing of New Castle, Indiana. A little history now. Most homes in the US before 1930 were not built with kitchen cabinetry. So in the early 1900's these were incredibly popular. Hoosier Manufacturing was one of the earliest and biggest makers of these, and the term "Hoosier cabinet" became the generic term for this piece of furniture. Hoosier Manufacturing was sold and liquidated in 1942.

This cabinet has an enamel pullout section between the upper and lower levels. This tray has some age appropriate wear to the enamel. The top section features a cabinet on one side with a working flour sifter inside. The other side has two glass cabinet doors up top with a shelf inside. Below that is a section that rolls open. There is some chipping paint inside this section. At the very top in the center is the metal manufacturer's plate.

The lower section has four drawers and one cabinet door. The bottom drawer is lined with metal. The cabinet has a metal grate shelf inside. I'm guessing that two of the drawer pulls are not original to the piece since they appear to have more shine than the others.

This Hoosier is 68.5" tall, 41" wide and 25" deep.
